If the Trispen and St Erme Turbines are built
tranquillity will be lost. People living near wind
turbines describe noise pollution and sleep loss as serious issues. Many
people say Turbines have ruined their quality of life. One Trispen
resident moved here to escape the noise of the Carland Cross Turbines,
now is facing the same issue for the second time. Here are the comments on the noise created from other people that live within 2 kilometres of wind Turbines in the UK “Like an old boot in a tumble drier”
“It keeps us awake at
night”
“We can’t sleep for
it”
“Just affects your
whole life”
“It is like being in a
washing machine that has gone wrong”
“When they first put
them up, we just couldn’t sleep”
Listen for yourself, this video records the rather disturbing first hand experiences of the misery these machines have created.
The Turbine Developer told one resident that: “if the Turbines cause noise we will take them down”. Do you think he will? There are numerous complaints, but we can not find a single case of Turbines being taken down following the complaints of impacted residents. In Scotland and other European countries it is forbidden to build Turbines within 2 kilometres of family homes. Here in Cornwall there are no similar restrictions, explaining why Turbine speculators are focused on Cornwall. Unfortunately, Australia also have weak planning policy with respect to wind Turbine facilities. Listen to the first hand story of residents living near 105 metre Turbines in Australia
